Internet is packed with websites that do more or less trustworthy product tests. Often, pure coincidence decides which products will end up as winners and losers, obviously annoying both manufacturers and consumer organisations. Therefore, Panasonic pay visits to many testing facilities around the world, to see if their equipment and testing procedures meet a satisfying quality level. The current global economic situation also influences the participants of the 2010 PMA International Convention and Trade Show. Renowned companies are undergoing major reorganizations, affecting mainly at local level, where major changes are made. When it comes to digital imaging, the world is roughly divided into three parts, America, Europe and Asia. It seems that the manufacturers have decided among themselves that the PMA is specifically focused on the U.S.A. market, including the associated market strategies, while Europe is served by IFA and Photokina. In Asia, it is the Photo Imaging Expo in Tokyo that seems to focus on Japan and surrounding countries.
